Thames Valley Housing only has 10 four-bedroom family houses remaining at St Mary’s in Wantage, Oxfordshire, but according to them, this won’t be the case for much longer.

Each four-bedroom house, built by Berkeley Homes, will be finished to an exceptional standard including a kitchen with fridge / freezer and washer / dryer, oven, hob and extractor hood. Each property will also have contemporary fitted bathrooms, carpeting throughout (excluding wet areas, which have vinyl flooring), air source heat pump systems to radiators, an allocated parking space and a private garden.

These homes at St Mary’s are available to purchase through the government-led New Build HomeBuy part-buy, part-rent scheme which helps people step on the property ladder.

Kush Rawal, Head of Sales & Marketing, for Thames Valley Housing, comments: “The houses for sale at St Mary’s have been very popular and we expect the last few to sell very quickly. At £67,500 for a 25% share, this is an affordable option for families who may not otherwise be able to afford to upsize into a home that meets their needs.

“St Mary’s is already taking shape to be a great community right in the centre of Wantage, just a short walk from Wantage’s historic market square. There is a weekly street market and also a number of well known high-street shops which are only minutes away. There are a number of good local primary schools nearby such as Charlton Primary School and Wantage Church of England Primary School, and the Wantage Leisure centre offers swimming, squash and tennis facilities.”

Wantage is a 15 minute drive from Didcot Parkway train station which has parking facilities for up to 1,127 cars and also secure bicycle storage. Didcot Parkway station provides direct services to London Paddington in less than 50 minutes, Swindon in less than 20 minutes, Oxford in approximately 15 minutes and Reading in approximately 25 minutes.

By car, Wantage is approximately 9.5 miles from the M4, 21 miles from Swindon and 16 miles to Oxford.

St Mary’s is a development of one, two and three-bedroom apartments as well as two, three and four-bedroom houses available through the New Build HomeBuy scheme.

Prices for a four-bedroom house at St Mary’s start from £67,500 for a 25% share in a property with a full market value of £270,000.
