Home has signed a £15 million contract with ROK Building Ltd, to achieve the Government Decent Homes Standards (GDHS), across its property portfolio in the South East of England by 2010.
Home’s in-house Property and Asset Management have already identified through their stock condition survey which properties need repairing. The contract forms part of its commitment to ensure all 11,000 rental properties Home manages, meets GDHS
Tracey Lees, Managing Director for Home South, said,
“I am delighted to have signed the agreement with ROK. Home now has a clear vision to meet GDHS across the region in the next two years.
“We already have a great relationship with ROK through our extensive development programme across the South East. We chose ROK because we know they can deliver and they understand our commitment to providing an excellent service for our customers.”
Home has a turnover in excess of £230 million, manages 52,000 houses and provides care and support services to more than 14,000 people across the UK each year. They also set a target to build more than 2,000 additional affordable homes each year, helping to create thriving communities where people want to live.
