New Development Aylesbury

New Development Aylesbury: This may come as good news those in Aylesbury Vale as part of a 19 year plan for the region and this is likely to create at least 16000 new jobs. Apart from the 7,500 homes already confirmed 6000 new homes are already in the planning stages.

New Development Aylesbury: This represents massive growth in Buckingham and Aylesbury and the region will see infrastructural changes involving a southern link to the A41 which will support connections to the national rail network.

The figures anticipated follow consultation with town and parish councils in the region including public consultation with residents businesses, developers and interested parties. In particular on the options for jobs and housing numbers for the district to 2031 and how these might be distributed across the region.

Councillor Carole Paternoster, Cabinet Member for Strategic Planning, said: “It is vital we strike the right balance in our plans between jobs, infrastructure and homes over the next 20 years. If the Vale is to continue to prosper new homes will be needed, but we are also very clear that we must protect what makes the district a unique and special place to live. Aylesbury Vale is consistently voted as one of the top places to live and work in the country and we must ensure the quality of life our communities l enjoy today is maintained.”

According to Wikipedia
Aylesbury is the county town of Buckinghamshire in South East England. However the town also falls into a notional geographical region known as the South Midlands an area that encompasses the north of the South East, and the southern extremities of the East Midlands, and the western portion of the East of England.
In the 2001 census the Aylesbury Urban Area,[1] which includes Bierton, Fairford Leys, Stoke Mandeville and Watermead, had a population of 69,021, which included 56,392 for the Aylesbury civil parish.
The town's population has doubled since the 1960s due to new housing developments, including many London overspill housing estates, built to ease pressure on the capital, and to move people from crowded inner city slums to more favourable locations. Indeed Aylesbury, to a greater extent than many English market towns, saw substantial areas of its own heart demolished in the 1950s and 1960s as 16th-18th century houses (many in good repair) were pulled down to make way for commercial developments. Areas most popular in the town are the Conservation Area around St. Mary's church and Queens Park, particularly facing onto the canal. These anticipated developments are expected to raise the urban population of Aylesbury from its current approximation of 75,000 to around 100,000 within the next 15–20 years.
