New Development Aylesbury: This represents massive growth in Buckingham and Aylesbury and the region will see infrastructural changes involving a southern link to the A41 which will support connections to the national rail network.
The figures anticipated follow consultation with town and parish councils in the region including public consultation with residents businesses, developers and interested parties. In particular on the options for jobs and housing numbers for the district to 2031 and how these might be distributed across the region.
Councillor Carole Paternoster, Cabinet Member for Strategic Planning, said: “It is vital we strike the right balance in our plans between jobs, infrastructure and homes over the next 20 years. If the Vale is to continue to prosper new homes will be needed, but we are also very clear that we must protect what makes the district a unique and special place to live. Aylesbury Vale is consistently voted as one of the top places to live and work in the country and we must ensure the quality of life our communities l enjoy today is maintained.”
